This letterpress wedding invitation suite is one we actually printed last year for a wedding in the beautiful Thousand Islands region of Upstate New York. It’s such a favorite of ours we thought we’d share it to help inspire those of you who might be planning waterfront weddings of your own this year. This is a customization of our Sailboat design printed in navy and garden inks. Along with the letterpress invitation and reply card, there are several inserts including an accommodations card and a rehearsal dinner invitation, all of which are bundled up in a navy belly band in an envelope that is also lined in navy. We love everything about this set from the fun color combination to the way it has us dreaming of the beautiful summers in Upstate New York.
Over the past several months we’ve continued printing a lot of fabulous letterpress save the dates for upcoming spring and summer 2010 weddings. Recently we printed two customizations of a save the date design that we absolutely loved and couldn’t resist sharing both with you!
This version of our Champagne letterpress save the date is printed in fuchsia and pewter inks and features corner rounding for the perfect finishing touch.
This very different version of our Champagne design is printed in wine and clover inks. It’s a perfect example of how one design can be personalized in two unique ways and be equally perfect for two very different events.
Calligrapher Kelle McCarter of designsgirl, who recently designed two gorgeous new calligraphy letterpress wedding invitations for our 2010 collection, was featured on one of our favorite wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty, this week! Kelle’s beautiful calligraphy was a part of a gorgeous photoshoot that was a collaboration between a handful of incredibly talented wedding vendors for a recent From Inspiration to Reality feature on Style Me Pretty. This letterpress wedding invitation is one of our new designs for 2010, Adirondack, customized for this couple using a horizontal orientation and printed in clover and peacock inks. We love the way it makes this already beautiful design really unique to this couple’s wedding.
The letterpress accommodations card insert and reply card used motifs from our Nautilus design printed in peacock and cream inks, which, when paired with the Adirondack letterpress invitations, is a tribute to the unique woodsy seaside venue where this couple will be celebrating their wedding. This kind of personal customization really allows the couple’s wedding to come to life for guests long before the day arrives and is a perfect way to kick off the festivities.
We printed these custom letterpress wedding invitations for a couple who submitted their own design and worked with us to print the perfect letterpress invitations for their wedding. The design is a cool juxtaposition between simple black type on the front and an ornate blind deboss letterpress pattern on the back. We love the unexpected pairing of type and pattern, a unique blend between tradition and modern sensibility that looks fabulous in letterpress.
This letterpress wedding invitation is our Vignette design printed in garden and pewter inks for an upcoming wedding in Hawaii. We love the color palette and swirly floral and leaf motif for an oceanfront wedding, and it should be noted that we’d really love to be in Hawaii today. With windchill, it’s about -10 degrees in Syracuse right now so a trip someplace warm sounds just right!
This pretty jewel-toned customization of our Tuileries letterpress invitation design is printed in aubergine and lavender inks and is paired with an envelope featuring an amethyst lining. Purple is continuing its reign as an incredibly popular color for weddings in 2010 so we love the pairing of various shades of purple in this customization.
This letterpress wedding invitation set is a customization of our Soleil design printed in sea mist and espresso inks and paired with a metallic bronze envelope liner. We’re in love with this pairing of colors and also love how the Soleil design looks when customized for our A7 paper size instead of the square of the sample design. It’s both perfectly elegant and playfully modern, a combination we adore.
We created these custom letterpress invitations for an event hosted by Nestlé last spring. They are a custom design derived from our Walden design, printed in antique gold and espresso inks with rounded corners and elegant metallic gold edge painting. Nestlé had these invitations printed for a celebration in honor of their first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold Certification, which is a certification bestowed upon buildings which meet or surpass rigorous standards for energy efficient and environmentally sustainable design in the architecture community. Bravo, Nestlé! We love working with businesses striving to do good things for the world.

It’s also printed on our A7 size card in a horizontal orientation instead of the square shape of the sample design. We love the pretty combination of modern design, bold colors and pretty script font.

Today is an exciting day! Just a few short weeks after the launch of our new letterpress wedding invitation designs, we’re already designing and printing some really lovely customizations for couples planning their upcoming spring and summer weddings. This Bradford letterpress save the date was the first of our 2010 designs off the press and we love it! Before sharing all the details, here is a little peak at the Bradford sample design:
It’s printed in navy ink on our white paper and features chartreuse edge painting. It also comes paired with an envelope lined in navy. On the other hand, this fun customization is printed in olive ink on our ivory paper and boasts a bright fuchsia envelope liner. It’s a really fun and cheerful interpretation of our Bradford design and we can’t wait to print more!
