Meaningful artwork woven throughout the design, a custom ink color, and velvet accents make this letterpress wedding suite deeply personal and absolutely gorgeous. Lara and Farhad had a lot of ideas for their save the dates and invitations, which were loosely inspired by our Gwynn design. The couple worked with our dear friend Tacha of Paper Place to create their stunning wedding stationery.

A botanical illustration the bride’s mother created is an integral part of the entire suite. The artwork became part of a monogram that adorns the belly band. The same artwork, with the floral sprigs flipped to create a heart, appears on the details card and on the envelope liner for both the save the date and the invitation. Custom artwork always elevates a design, but featuring artwork created by a loved one is extremely special and adds a personal, heartfelt touch.

The typography is unique and quirky but still refined. An elegant script font is paired with refined serif lettering, giving the suite a timeless quality. The couple’s first and last names alternate between the two fonts, for a look that is decidedly romantic, sophisticated, and slightly whimsical.

The save the date features letterpress printing on velvet. The ink is a custom, dark, muted green, creating a tonal look on our Bella asparagus velvet. The reverse side features a digitally printed photo of the couple on our smooth cotton stock. The invitation also features our smooth cotton paper on one side and asparagus velvet on the other. Although this time, the letterpress printing appears on the smooth cotton side. The velvet backing adds texture and maintains the luxurious aesthetic.
You can send us your custom artwork for your invitation design, or if you have an idea but need help with the illustration, we can help with that too. Work with one of our dealers to create your perfect letterpress wedding suite.
We had the pleasure of working with Hannah and David to create their sophisticated save the dates. This job was extra special because the bride is the daughter of our dear friend Susie of First Impression. The style is minimalist with subtle yet intentional design and plenty of personal details that reflect the couple and their love story. Hannah and David chose our Frances save the date as their inspiration, and we cannot wait to share it with you.

The composition is centered and balanced, creating a sense of calm. The design is letterpress-printed into our thick 2-ply cotton paper. The paper has a decadent texture, and the impression of the printing pressed into the thick stock adds even more of a tactile element, resulting in a luxurious card. Chambray letterpress ink is elegantly understated. The thin line border contrasts with the bold font, creating a soft yet sculptural look. Utilizing a perpendicular orientation of the couple’s names within the border introduces an unexpected, contemporary element.
A lovely candid photo of the couple, digitally printed on vellum, is secured to the card with a silver grommet. The photo of the smiling couple is delightful and the first thing guests see when they take the save-the-date out of the envelope. Since the overlay is made of vellum, the text on the card is partially visible through the photo, so guests receive a sneak peek.
A highly personal detail that showcases the couple’s fun personalities is the custom envelope liner. An image of the couple’s beloved dog greets recipients after they slip the card from the envelope. The adorable pup appears over a map, adding even more personal detail to the design.
It is always a joy to work with Susie of First Impression and bring this vision to life. Check back later this week to see the invitations and day of pieces for Hannah and David’s big day.
The season of engagements and save the dates is now upon us! We worked with Silberman Brown Stationers to create these photo save the dates with copper foil accents. Becky and Andrew married in Leavenworth, Washington this past September. A village in the Cascade Mountains surrounded by Alpine-style buildings, Nutcracker Museum displays as well as all the trees you could possibly imagine. It’s safe to say they needed a save the date that would match this aesthetic. Pictured in the middle are Becky and Andrew front and center walking through the rugged terrain. This image certainly set the stage for their wedding day to come. Copper Matte foil used as the border around the photo and for some of the typography added a metallic accent. Last but not least, watercolor tree imagery topped off the design.
The first glimpse of a wedding typically starts with the save the date. A card kept by guests for plenty of months, setting the tone for what’s ahead. For Olivia and Will, a grommeted save the date was their style of choice. This little booklet is a great choice for weddings that require a little more information right off the bat. If it’s to make sure guests are aware of accommodation bookings or if it’s destination wedding heads-up. A grommeted save the date is the solution! We send a huge thanks to JoEllen Bax of Slightly South for helping us make these save the dates come together!
