We were overjoyed to print the baby announcements for Marissa, owner of Marissa Allie Designs based in West Hollywood, California! Her little Aiden was introduced to the world in the sleekest yet sweetest kind of letterpress style. Find out more about Marissa’s inspiration for her announcements below:
“When we found out we were having a baby boy, I began to put together ideas for his birth announcement. I am used to designing announcements and stationery for clients so when it came to working on our own, the pressure was on (and I needed my husband’s approval, of course)! I wanted something whimsical, but modern. We started working on the announcement design while we were designing his nursery and I was so inspired by the direction we chose: clean, modern, California vibes. Adding the motifs for the baby stats kept it fun with a modern block font. The color of the deep blue letterpress was just right along with the fun pop of neon orange on the edge of the card. When Aiden Parker was born, we knew the announcement was perfect for him!”
Our friends at D&E Invitations helped customize our Anakin design to create these blind embossed thank you cards for baby Jacob. Our light gray paper provided the perfect backdrop for the large-scale embossed name while baby Jacob’s adorable photo graced the envelope liner.

This simple and clean Finola customization was inspired by the very hot geometric trend happening in interior design. “After hours of what I would call a “geometric staring competition” I finally had a nice flow of clean geometric lines I was happy with, and then I just needed to pair with modern typography,” says designer Racheal Bumbolo. “I’m envisioning the most laid back, epic baby shower of the year (#nopressure)!”

Kara and Robin worked with our friends at Sincerely Yours, Diane to customize our Sweet Christine design for their recent Florida wedding. Their modern letterpress wedding invitations featured a palette of charcoal and copper that was accented with a blind deboss pattern as well as a metallic copper envelope liner. The no frills typography paired beautifully with the design and added to the contemporary feel of the suite.

Our friends at Pleasure of Your Company worked with Kierstin and Parker to create these letterpress calligraphy wedding invitations for their Blackberry Farm wedding. They submitted the hand lettering and the watercolor artwork that paid homage to their bucolic venue.

Designer Jessica Downs’ Alchemy was inspired by Hotel Emma, a gorgeous and dramatic wedding venue in San Antonio, Texas. “It’s lavish and modern but also rich in vintage mystique”, says Jessica. “Alchemy pulls from the venue’s bold use of clean lines and robust patterns to grab your eye. It redefines classic elegance and modern appeal in a big way.”

Faith and Warren worked with us at our flagship store in Manhattan to create these classic letterpress wedding invitations for their New York City wedding. The simple typography and tiered border were chic in jade and black letterpress and inkless blind deboss. We foil edged the invitations in teal foil for a pop of modern elegance.

To celebrate Anthi and her new baby, friends mailed these woodland baby shower invitations based on our Sherwood design. A neutral palette of hunter and fawn letterpress inks highlighted the sweet illustrations while a woodgrain envelope liner carried through the forest inspiration.

Designer Lindsy Talarico draws inspiration from unexpected places, and her vision for Pomona is no exception. “As a fan of all things Harry Potter, I was inspired by Pomona Sprout, the Herbology professor at Hogwarts. I love her mystical, earthy nature and the overall look of the Harry Potter film sets. Beyond the whimsy and magic, there is something quite sophisticated about it all. I think the greenery and whimsical calligraphy style on this invitation represent a bit of that.”
