Bella Figura is looking for a creative, inspired, stationery-loving individual to join our team as a blog intern. We are looking for someone with passion, incredible writing skills and the ability to contribute approximately 3 to 4 blog posts a week. This is a six month unpaid internship offering an unparalleled opportunity to gain an intimate working knowledge of a cool letterpress shop, our Bella Figura stationery line and our sister company, Smock. You’ll work closely with and have the opportunity to be mentored by our blog editor and get awesome experience researching, prepping, and writing for blogs with national readership.
Candidates can live anywhere in the world, but a reliable internet connection and access to email is a must. With spring just around the corner, we are in love with all things pink right now! Pink is making a comeback in 2010, the new “it” color for the spring and summer wedding season. From blush pink to fuchsia, from shell to azalea, pink can be feminine and girly, but it can also be incredibly sophisticated and unsurpassed in elegance. Our Deveril design has long been one of our most popular and we love how this couple transformed it for their letterpress save the dates. The type is printed in black ink, as in the original design, but they customized the design with the addition of a classic border printed in blush ink. We love how one simple change so dramatically changes the look and feel of this letterpress save the date, making it a unique reflection of Lindsey, Andrew and their upcoming Philadelphia wedding.
This letterpress suite is a bright and cheerful customization of our Nigella design. All of the pieces including the letterpress wedding invitations, letterpress thank you cards and letterpress escort cards were printed in Cloud 9 and pewter inks. The final look is festive and modern with a bold floral motif that was perfect for this couple’s Hawaii wedding last month.
It was a joyous day here at Bella Figura when calligrapher Maybelle sent us the sweetest of packages – custom calligraphy stamps! Personalized with our names and return mailing addresses and then tied with a cute tag and a little bow made with grosgrain ribbon, they’re just the kind of special gift we love around here. (You can rest assured we’ll be talking about these beauties for a long time to come!) Thank you so so much, Maybelle! We’ve already been putting our stamps to good use and are so very grateful.

Threaded is another of our new letterpress wedding invitation designs for 2010 so we were particularly excited to print this customization for a wedding in Morocco. This invitation design was printed in a sophisticated pairing of pewter and taupe inks for a look that is both modern and very chic.
Another of our new designs for our 2010 collection, this invitation design is a customization of our Lana letterpress wedding invitation design. The pieces are printed in chartreuse and amethyst inks, paired with an amethyst envelope liner and features a script font inspired by handwriting. We love customizing designs for our clients and this lovely Lana customization is a great example of how playing with fonts and ink colors can create a dramatically different look, perfect for whatever the size, shape and color of your event.
Our Victoria Calligraphy design, penned exclusively for us by renowned calligrapher Sarah Hanna, is one of seven new calligraphy letterpress wedding invitations we introduced with our 2010 collection. The opportunity to print this for the first time for one of our Bella Figura clients was an absolute joy. This couple chose classic black ink for the letterpress invitation itself and opted for a modern punch of color in our Tiffany Blue ink for the reply card insert. We love how this set turned out and just can’t get enough of Sarah’s beautiful work.
This letterpress wedding invitation suite is one we actually printed last year for a wedding in the beautiful Thousand Islands region of Upstate New York. It’s such a favorite of ours we thought we’d share it to help inspire those of you who might be planning waterfront weddings of your own this year. This is a customization of our Sailboat design printed in navy and garden inks. Along with the letterpress invitation and reply card, there are several inserts including an accommodations card and a rehearsal dinner invitation, all of which are bundled up in a navy belly band in an envelope that is also lined in navy. We love everything about this set from the fun color combination to the way it has us dreaming of the beautiful summers in Upstate New York.
Over the past several months we’ve continued printing a lot of fabulous letterpress save the dates for upcoming spring and summer 2010 weddings. Recently we printed two customizations of a save the date design that we absolutely loved and couldn’t resist sharing both with you!
This version of our Champagne letterpress save the date is printed in fuchsia and pewter inks and features corner rounding for the perfect finishing touch.
This very different version of our Champagne design is printed in wine and clover inks. It’s a perfect example of how one design can be personalized in two unique ways and be equally perfect for two very different events.
Calligrapher Kelle McCarter of designsgirl, who recently designed two gorgeous new calligraphy letterpress wedding invitations for our 2010 collection, was featured on one of our favorite wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty, this week! Kelle’s beautiful calligraphy was a part of a gorgeous photoshoot that was a collaboration between a handful of incredibly talented wedding vendors for a recent From Inspiration to Reality feature on Style Me Pretty.
