This invitation set is elegant and timeless yet still feels fresh and contemporary. This modern black tie wedding invitation is a custom design courtesy of our friends at Big City Bride.
Black letterpress on our luxurious 2-ply cotton paper is classic and sets the tone for this black tie affair. Chamagne matte foil edging introduces a touch of glamor. The invitation is finished with a silk ribbon hand-tied in a bow. The envelope liner features our Underwood pattern digitally printed in Spruce, which beautifully coordinates with our spruce envelope. We offer a variety of patterns that can be used as envelope liners, borders, or incorporated into any other element that fits your vision and helps elevate your custom design.

All of the pieces are lovely, but perhaps the showstopper is the charming reception card that features an illustration of the reception venue, Theater on the Lake, with the Chicago skyline in the background. A champagne matte foil-stamped border surrounds the card, adding a touch of glimmer and mimicking the thin lines of the artwork.
This dreamy wedding invitation suite perfectly integrates custom artwork with letterpress printing, incorporating extravagant details such as foil edging and a silk ribbon. This lovely wedding invitation customization is based on our Andras design. We worked with the bride, Shannon, on this sophisticated letterpress invitation suite perfect for a springtime wedding.
All of the printed pieces feature letterpress printing in French blue ink. The same fonts are used throughout as well, creating consistency across all of the pieces. The bride and groom’s names appear larger, highlighting the flourishes of the script font, making the names the standout feature of the invitation. The reply card, the details card, and the rehearsal dinner invitation utilize the same fonts, but the script font is not as large, making it appear more subdued in these auxiliary pieces.

Our design team creates all the pieces in an invitation suite during the design process, so each piece is available when you select a design. You can find these additional pieces linked to the page for each design under the design specifications. Simply click the link to view the additional pieces. This couple decided to transform the design initially intended for the menu into the details card. A delicate border surrounds the text, and the same script font serves as the headings.

We were thrilled to see a feature in Chicago Social on Johnna and Sam’s beautiful modern wedding, brimming with personal touches, including several appearances by their mini dachshund, and lots of Chicago flair. Johnna is our friend from Big City Bride, and we previously highlighted her and Sam’s custom-designed save the date.
The wedding colors were bright pink, orange, and yellow, and each printed piece featured a single one of these colors. The modern invitation boasts a flood of bright pink letterpress, with the text created by the areas without printing.

Rehearsal Dinner Invitation
letterpress: papaya

The rehearsal dinner invitation features the same flood of color, with the reverse creating the text and border, except this time the ink color is papaya. All the pieces in the suite featured the same design, but in different colors. The cards were square, with the invitation being the largest, and each subsequent card sized down. Before being placed in the envelope, the cards were stacked in size order, with the largest on the bottom and the smallest on top, and secured with metallic gold thread. This presentation created a collective ombre look, since the bold colors of each card peeked out around the edges of the smaller cards stacked on top.
We are so happy for Johnna and Sam, and we were honored to print their save the date and wedding invitation suite. Do you want modern wedding invitations? You couldn’t find a more perfect setting than the Denver Botanic Gardens to spark inspiration for all the spring weddings to come. We were over the moon to spot our elegant Laurent design within this stunning shoot over on Style Me Pretty. The florals within the cartouche of the invitation mimicked the appliqué of the bride’s Claire Pettibone gown. Similarly, shades of blue found within the table setting, linens, and even the tailored suit matched the color palette of the invitation. Be sure to head on over to Style Me Pretty to see even more photos from the shoot!
Designer Leslie Johnston created Nostalgique, our retro inspired letterpress wedding invitation printed in Cobblestone ink that established a subtle grayscale aesthetic. This design was created with a pair of old souls in mind who envisioned a wedding full of old-fashioned accents like records used as favors, typewriter cuff links, and old-school cameras surrounding the venue. The envelope liner featured sweetly illustrated motifs printed in Desert ink with a Cobblestone backdrop to keep a tone on tone look. The design was imagined on a smaller scale for an extra touch of vintage charm.
This destination wedding invitation is a fresh take on our contemporary Grant design. Similarly to Grant, the names of the bride and groom are big and bold, giving the attention right off the bat to the stars of this particular show. The design was inspired by the tropical Palm Springs venue of Colony 29 with its lush surroundings and earthy color palette. We imagined pairing this invitation with a pearl shine palm pattern for the envelope liner as a nod to the Floridian venue that inspired it all. This design perfectly combines a contemporary aesthetic with a tropical-inspired venue in a simplistic yet harmonious way.
We worked with our friends at Magnificent Milestones to create these southwestern inspired letterpress wedding invitations for Kelsey and Sam’s big day. This suite set the tone for their wedding held at the gorgeous Desert Botanical Garden in Arizona. Appropriately enough, the invitation was printed in Desert ink with a splash of Pool letterpress added to the mix. An Aztec inspired pattern placed along the bottom added an extra taste of southwestern flair to the design. The event card included sweet hand-drawn motifs to coordinate with each event beneath while the belly-band included yet another simple but eye-catching illustration. We can’t get enough of how seamlessly everything fits together with a taste of southwestern flair subtly added throughout.
