Claudia and Brian worked with our NYC store to create their custom wedding invitation suite. The design is refined and classic, while a belly band with a custom illustration introduces a fun, personal touch.

Our 2-ply cotton stock holds a deep impression to showcase the black letterpress printing and champagne matte foil stamping. The foil edge, also in champagne matte, adds an extra glimmer. The envelope liner is a custom pattern in dark gray digital on our ballet text, for a subtle use of color.

The wedding was held at The Bowery Hotel, so what better detail to include than an illustration of the Bowery Boy, the logo of this decadent hotel? The vellum belly band is just large enough to cover the bride and groom’s names when it is on the invitation, although the names are still visible through the 40# vellum. The jaunty Bowery Boy is centered on the belly band and is likely the first detail guests notice when they remove the invitation from the envelope. The belly band is more than a whimsical detail; it’s functional, securing all the cards in the suite and creating a bundle that neatly fits inside the envelope.

Hand calligraphy is a time-honored art form that remains a uniquely individual expression of creativity. All the text on this invitation is exclusively hand-calligraphed. Jacqueline and John, the bride and groom, chose the Spencerian hand by Debi Zeinert. Adding hand calligraphy to a piece requires a few extra days, but it is worth the wait. The calligraphy appears in rose gold shine, for an even more extravagant display.

Blind embossed rose accents at the top surround a double “J” duogram, also hand-calligraphed. The edges are gilded in rose gold shine foil for an extra pop of color.

The reply card and details card feature foil-stamping in rose gold shine. Digitally printed artwork invoking the destination appears at the top of the details card. All of the pieces are stacked and secured with a woodrose silk ribbon (not pictured) and slipped into an envelope made from our old rose color stock. The briar rose liner is elegant and creates a monochromatic look.

Chambray letterpress and gold matte foil perfectly complement one another, while our 2-ply cotton paper holds a deep letterpress impression. Custom artwork of the ceremony venue is featured in gold matte foil at the top of the invitation, making the card more meaningful and personalized.

Kelsey and Kevin made this design their own by adding a vellum gatefold wrap. The original invitation design features blind embossed floral accents. The couple chose to remove that artwork from the invitation but added it to the gatefold using pearl shine foil, adding a subtle glimmer.

All the cards in this suite have their own unique look while still maintaining a cohesive feel due to the use of consistent colors and artwork. The details card features white matte foil stamping on our asparagus velvet stock. While the events card pairs spruce letterpress, which is a similar hue to the asparagus velvet, and gold matte foil with our soft blue Bella handmade paper. The soft blue handmade paper coordinates with the chambray letterpress found on the invitation, reply card, reception card, and rehearsal dinner invitation.

We could gaze at this invitation set and take in the lovely details all day. This charming hand calligraphy letterpress wedding invitation was brought to us by our dear friend Kristyn and her team at Oliver’s Twist. Laura and Leo changed the invitation to a horizontal orientation and swapped engraving with letterpress in their interpretation of this design. The couple also chose our Quinn hand calligraphy for their names and the ceremony location. Hand calligraphy is always unique and custom, and it’s a great way to add a personal touch to an invitation. The edge of the invitation is beveled at a 45-degree angle and then edged in gold shine foil. The sparkle of the foil adds a hint of glamour and makes the bevel edge stand out.

Featured in Style Me Pretty, Yuki and Patrick’s Hong Kong wedding overflowed with lovely floral arrangements and elegant details down to the invitations. Planned and designed by The Wedding Company Hong Kong, this wedding was romantic and timeless.

The monochromatic invitations and ceremony cards are printed on our Bella cotton 2-ply and feature quartz matte foil stamping for the text and floral accents. The script font used for the bride and groom’s names mimics the thin lines of the floral artwork. Both pieces are bilingual. English is on one side and Chinese on the other, as a way to include and honor the joining families. Double-sided printing is always a great way to address a bilingual guest list while also ensuring both cultures are represented.

The floral motif carried through to a vellum belly band to secure the cards together. Quartz matte foil edging provided even more glamour while maintaining consistency across the suite.

Pulp and Ink helped us to create these navy and gold foil birthday invitations for Tracey’s 50th birthday. Using navy letterpress as a base, they brought in names as well as other important elements in gold matte foil for emphasis. The couple chose to pair a text-only front with a custom pattern on the back to add a playful spin to this look. Finally, a gold matte foil edge tied the color scheme together.
