Our Roosevelt suite was featured last week on Elizabeth Anne Designs! Our modern yet formal Roosevelt wedding invitations and save the dates were a perfect fit for this stunning inspiration shoot, which featured rich shades of red. The bride carried a cascading bouquet filled with rich reds and pinks, and wore a timeless lace dress by Encore Bridal and pale pink Badgley Mischka shoes. Cherry bourbon cream sodas were selected as a signature cocktail, and other design elements (like a classic ’58 Ford) added a touch of nostalgia to this country club celebration. The end result was a perfectly chic summer affair. Many thanks to Nature’s Grace Design and DeFiore Photography for including us in this romantic shoot!

To tie in their wedding locale they chose our vintage D.C. map liner and added our Washington D.C. skyline motif to their additional cards.

We were thrilled to see our English Garden invitations featured on Style Me Pretty earlier this month! Designed by Chelsea Petaja, English Garden is a new design from our 2015 collection and combines digital printing in soft shades of pale pink, peach, and green with charcoal letterpress printing. Bella Figura retailer Magnificent Milestones worked with local vendors in Chicago to pull off the shoot, which took place in the Symphony Center’s Grainger Ballroom. The team drew inspiration from the Pantone Color of the Year, Marsala, allowing the bold color to pop against the neutrals in the ballroom. Here’s a peek at some of the photos from the shoot — to see more, head on over to Style Me Pretty!

Lisa and Sue hosted a fun filled wedding weekend for their close family and friends at Glenmere Mansion, an intimate venue in New York’s Hudson Valley. They chose our Colette calligraphy wedding invitations and customized the design by switching to a vertical layout. A detailed itinerary was included along with a “what to pack” list that utilized icons from our extensive motif library. A vintage Manhattan map lined the envelopes in an ode to the nearby city.

They chose vine and light peach letterpress inks accented with gold matte foil and carried the garden-inspired color palette throughout their suite. Today’s real wedding took our breath away. Hillary and Tyler were married at the Meridian House in November, and their elegant wedding had lots of natural, slightly rustic touches — like their Woodland bookmark save the dates and die-cut wedding invitations and their grapevine ceremony archway. Their wedding day was filled with personal touches, too — the tea-lovers served hot tea to their guests to keep them warm during the ceremony; the save the dates got a personalized touch after Hillary added tassels to each one; and a whiskey tasting table was set up for the groom. We recently returned from the 2015 National Stationery Show, where we had the opportunity to meet with new and existing Bella Figura retailers. We shared a new booth space with our sister company, Smock, and created some new displays to make it easier for retailers to shop our collection. Before the show started, we sent out a mailer to announce our new space and our show specials. Based on our Lucaya design, the announcement mailer was double-sided, with an art print on the front and info on the back. The piece was sent out alongside Smock’s monochromatic, art print style mailers with one of Smock’s new foil stamped envelope liners.

Well before the show started, we began brainstorming ways to make it easier to browse our vast collection. The Stationery Show is a great opportunity for our retailers to update their materials (and for new retailers to select theirs), so we created a special display that we dubbed a “Belladex”. Similar in style to a rolodex, our Belladexes showcased our invitations on hinges, making it easy to flip through and view our designs. We worked with a local vendor to create the handsome, handcrafted wooden boxes, and Debi Zeinert hand calligraphed the hinges with each design’s name. After the hinges were calligraphed, we adhered the invitations and then slid them onto dowels that rested inside of each box. We were thrilled with the end result! Here’s a peek at our booth (and our Belladexes) during set-up:

After setup was complete, the booth looked like this:

A closeup of our Belladexes, complete with hand calligraphed hinges.

In total, we brought 5 Belladexes, which featured roughly 265 of our best designs.

One of the most exciting parts of the National Stationery Show was winning our first Louie Award! The Louie’s represent the best greeting cards and stationery in the business, so it was an honor to have our Elodie design by Jessica Tierney recognized this year.

Another exciting part of the National Stationery Show is Paper Party! Here’s a peek at the invitations that we created with Moglea for the event (view the full post here), and be sure to check out Smock’s Paper Party recap!

Many thanks to the press and retailers who came by to see us at the National Stationery Show! Until next year!
We feature our Traditional Palm invitation design quite a bit here on the blog – couples are constantly re-imagining it in ways we can’t wait to share. This customization from Elizabeth and Adam is no exception – it features a custom folder and plenty of informative enclosure cards all foil stamped in our beach inspired tawny matte foil. The custom folder was setup to hold the reply card, events card and direction cards and was embellished with a foil stamped shell from our motif collection. A white gold metallic envelope liner was the finishing touch on these foil stamped destination wedding invitations.

For their California winery wedding, Lindsay and Jared customized our Gournay design by using Debi Zeinert’s casually elegant hand calligraphy and a custom print that we turned into an envelope liner. If you look closely you can see the lace-like pattern that is blind debossed on the invitations – it adds a subtle charm to these three color vintage letterpress wedding invitations.
