This design feels soft, sophisticated, and timeless, with an emphasis on subtle details rather than elaborate embellishments, and we love everything about it. Clean, crisp lines, a warm color palette, and exceptionally restrained typography beautifully come together for Anna and Ethan’s wedding stationery. The couple worked with our dear friend Carlyn at Lee’s Paperie to create their modern invitations featuring a blind embossed monogram.

The blind embossed monogram immediately catches the eye. Embossing creates a raised impression that lifts off the paper and contrasts beautifully with letterpress printing, which is pressed into the paper. Blind embossing uses no ink, so the paper’s texture is on full display.

The crossbar, or the horizontal stroke of the letter ‘A’ in the monogram, gently sweeps and curves into the bottom of the letter. This stands out because it’s the only curve or flourish in the entire design.

Even the monogram’s placement is on point. All the text is justified to the bottom right, while the monogram sits in the top left. The bold monogram is such a focal point that it effortlessly balances the text. The blank space beneath the monogram gives the design room to breathe and contributes to the minimalist vibe.

The monogram is too good to only feature once. It makes its second appearance, this time in taupe letterpress ink, on the thank-you card.
