Double-Sided Save the Date

This double-sided save the date is modern and refined, yet elegant and completely unique. Sydney, the bride, worked with our Bella Figura NYC team to create this tonal, double-sided save the date.
This inspiration for this card loosely came from our Lucent design. The artwork on the back of this card was initially found on the save-the-date and the envelope liner from the inspiration design. Sydney opted to use that artwork on the back of her save-the-date, but positioned it off-center, creating a more casual feel. The use of this artwork is where the similarities between Sydney’s save the date and our Lucent design end. Everything else about this design is custom and unique.

Save the Date
- letterpress: chambray (front) + chambray (back)
- fonts: ivy presto + figtree
- paper: bella cloud 2-ply
- size: sq-5
- envelope: cotton white text
- envelope printing: deep blue (guest + return addresses)
- job #73156
There are dualities in this design, such as the contrast between the front, which features text only, and the intricate artwork on the reverse. The use of a serif font for the horizontal text and a sans serif font for the vertical text is unexpected and adds to the modern feel. However, the use of chambray ink on our cloud paper creates a lovely tone-on-tone look that is on-trend and introduces a cohesive element between the front and back of this double-sided save the date.
The artwork on the reverse side of the card perfectly sets the stage for the upcoming nuptials because it is inspired by the iconic domed fresco ceiling at the venue, The Weylin.
