Our Ashwell letterpress wedding invitation design is another design from our 2010 collection so we especially loved printing this beautiful invitation suite. Showcasing a lovely custom monogram, this customization is a classic pairing of black ink on our ivory cotton paper with corner rounding for the perfect finishing touch. The coordinating letterpress coasters are a perfect addition to any reception and carry the design details seamlessly through the event from start to finish.

Our Deveril design has long been one of our most popular and we love how this couple transformed it for their letterpress save the dates. The type is printed in black ink, as in the original design, but they customized the design with the addition of a classic border printed in blush ink. We love how one simple change so dramatically changes the look and feel of this letterpress save the date, making it a unique reflection of Lindsey, Andrew and their upcoming Philadelphia wedding.

Our Nantucket letterpress wedding invitation design is a favorite with our brides and grooms and it is easy to see why – it’s just so elegant and sophisticated, perfect for weddings of many styles. Recently we had the chance to print these letterpress reception menus and letterpress table numbers and just love how elegant and timeless they are.

Printed in Cloud 9 and black inks, the letterpress reception menus feature Spencerian hand calligraphy accents paired with a classic serif font for a look that is formal elegance at its best. The table numbers are a simple 1-color letterpress design printed in Cloud 9, left blank in the middle for a calligrapher to add the table name or number as appropriate. We love the touch of class and luxury letterpress reception menus and table numbers add to an event and these are right up there among our recent favorites.

These modern letterpress save the dates are a customization of our Irving design printed in black and French vanilla inks and edge painted in black. Printed for a chic winter wedding in New York City, these save the dates are perfectly suited to a hip modern event.

When we’re working with couples to create their letterpress wedding invitations, we love seeing just how different they make one of our original designs by playing with personal details. This customization of our Champagne invitation is a perfect example of a couple who truly made a design their own. They opted for a subtle cream ink paired with black ink for all of the type on our thick 2-ply cotton paper, with metallic gold edge painting and a luxurious metallic gold envelope liner. It is sophisticated and completely elegant, perfect for their New York City wedding.

In 2009 our New Calligraphy design has become one of our most popular and we love seeing how couples work with our designers and calligrapher to create something truly special for their event. These customized letterpress save the dates both feature the beautiful hand calligraphy of our New Calligraphy design, but beyond that are very different designs.

Printed in black ink on our white cotton paper, this customization is a true pairing of classic elegance and modern sophistication.

This letterpress save the date switches things up a bit with a vertical orientation. It is printed in tea rose ink on our 2-ply ivory cotton paper with edge painting to match.

We’re not kidding when we say we really really love printing letterpress coasters. They are both really fun and a bit unexpected and add a little touch of luxury to any event. These were printed in sophisticated black and pale gray inks with the couple’s monogram that they carried throughout their event. How chic!

One more sweet letterpress save the date to inspire you….this is our Deveril letterpress design, which looks great in any ink color, but we are partial to this design in a rich black letterpress ink. This is a reply card size save the date as well (3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″) — a great idea which uses less paper (eco!) and also is less expensive than the larger 4.5″ x 6.25″ A-6 save the date size.

Continuing our letterpress calligraphy love fest…here are a few more calligraphy treats.
Black ink seems so right for calligraphy invitations – it’s the original letterpress ink from hundreds of years ago, and black has stayed in fashion ever since. This is the Classic Calligraphy design using the Spencerian calligraphy style, letterpress printed on our 2-ply cotton paper. Totally timeless. And notice how special each of the first letters of the bride’s and groom’s names are – I love how the “L” of the bride is intertwined already with the “P” of the groom.

We often do calligraphy invitations in one color — but wow, when you add a second color–and add that to a custom monogram in fact — what an effect! The butterfly monogram is sweet and sophisticated and uses the bride & groom’s first letters of their first names. More black ink — how can you go wrong there? — but the garden green ink ads a bit of fun. This is another variation on the Classic Calligraphy design, Spencerian style.
Stay tuned for a very cool calligraphy save the date — in green!
