We are thrilled to share this real wedding that was recently featured on Grey Likes Weddings! The wedding took place in San Francisco – with a ceremony at The Ferry Building and a reception that followed at The Fairmont. Our classic Deveril invitation design set the tone for this gorgeous affair — black & white details conveyed a timeless look, while small touches (like the bride’s sharp black shoes and the lush greenery used for the centerpieces) added hints of modern elegance.

Lauren worked with Union Street Papery for her Deveril letterpress invitation suite, which we printed in charcoal ink. The charming submitted San Francisco details blended perfectly with Deveril’s classic style and added a lovely, localized touch!

Between the gorgeous jewelry and the stunning centerpieces, this wedding sure isn’t missing any glamor. The photography by Rachelle Derouin is breathtaking!

Our Deveril (by Beth Ann Seal) design is often called one of the most classic and traditional in our entire letterpress collection, and with good reason.  This sophisticated suite is complete with an exquisite black pocketfold, with an overflowing floral motif that has us all in love.  Many thanks go out to Sweet Paper in California for sending us these to print!

Our Deveril design (by Beth Ann Seal) looks elegant and refined letterpress printed in a palette of mediterranean and chartreuse.  We adore that the couple chose to incorporate the chic text monogram from the Austin Traditional design.  Monograms add a personal touch and match well on these text based invitations.  This splendid suite includes envelope liners that tie this whole everything together so nicely.  We’d like to thank our friends at The Dandelion Patch in Washington DC for submitting these beauties!

We’ve seen lots of customizations of our classic Deveril invitation design, but this one is definitely one of the best we’ve ever seen! Sent to us by Jahna at The Pleasure of Your Company in Baltimore, Maryland, this customization has lots of nautical touches – and with good reason. Jahna shared the bride’s vision for this gorgeous invitation set with us:

The inspiration for her invitation is who she is marrying and where they are getting married. Her fiancé is in a Merchant Marine and they are getting married on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

The main wedding color is Kelly green, and the custom liner is actually a nautical chart of where the wedding will be held. As for the welcome party coaster, when the bride was making final plans for the welcome party, her fiancé came in with her and while they were looking through the samples he noticed a coaster. They both thought it was perfect since the party will be at a brewery.

We love the way the the different motifs from our (free!) destination motif library were incorporated throughout the invitation suite to create a completely customized design with a perfectly nautical feel. This design won an honorable mention in our Bella Figura design competition for 2012. This annual competition recognizes outstanding and inspired designs submitted to us by our beloved dealers.

Sometimes simpler is just plain better.  Alright a lot of times.  Pared down to just the essentials, these Deveril invites from designer Beth Ann Seal exude such an amazing sense of clarity and calm.  The lack of any superfluous design elements really serves to highlight the simple beauty of the typography and of the letterpress printing itself.  In order to accommodate their multinational guests, half of these invitations were printed in German and the other half were printed in Italian.  Didn’t know we print in all languages?  Sure we can!  More details here.

Shocker alert – we’re pretty heavily into environmental conservation over here (big news, right?).  Everything from the tree-free cotton papers we print on, to the wind powered electricity we use, to our vegetable based inks and more is intended to minimize our impact on the natural world in every way we can possibly think of.  And so with that being the case, how could we not be totally all about this amazing naturally inspired Deveril (by Beth Ann Seal) customization!  We owe the pleasure of being able to print this beautiful set to our buds over at Sweet Paper in La Jolla, California.  It features espresso ink, our white 2-ply paper, and custom designed wood grain envelope liners inspired by our Adirondack design.  There’s also a little secret pocket on the back of the invite to hold the reception card, website card, and reply card neatly in place!  The whole set is earthy and organic feeling, but not in a kitschy kind of way because it’s still a very classic and formal looking set.  We dig it.  Hope you do too!

We’re so excited to be kicking off our first ever Bella Figura design contest! We’ve reviewed the best-of-the-best invitations sent to us by our amazing retailers, and over the next 10 days we’ll be featuring the contest honorees, as well as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Our first honoree was sent to us by the Village Invites II in New York, New York. Kudos to the Village Invites II for figuring out how to take two classic Bella designs and turn them into a whole new animal!

This bold, modern letterpress invitation customization combines the best of our Alice (by Tara Hogan) and Deveril (by Beth Ann Seal) designs, and uses ink colors that really pack a punch!
