Design Contest Winner: A Storybook Romance by Smudge Designs
A true storybook romance is played out in this recently letterpress printed Joie de Vivre (by Kamal) invitation suite customization submitted to us by our friends at Smudge Designs.
The first four lines of this adorably whimsical invitation are written in the voice of a narrator.
This creative invitation is letterpress printed in a delightful grouping of our atlantic, mediterranean and wine inks. The letterpressed steel blue pocketfold adds the perfect final touch as the credits start to roll.

Dewdrop Letterpress Wedding Invitations Customization
This fun customization of our Dewdrop design is printed in spring green and navy inks making these letterpress wedding invitations chic and modern. Dewdrop has easily been one of our most popular designs in 2009 and it has been so much fun to see couples make it their own – this customization is no exception.

Floweret Letterpress Wedding Invitations
This cheerful customization of our Floweret letterpress wedding invitation design is one of our favorite customizations of this particular design. It’s printed in champagne and cloud 9 blue inks and paired with a chic navy envelope liner. We also worked with the couple to customize the design to include more of the playful flower motif along the left side of the invitation, a change from the original design. They chose Memoir script for a really fun look that is whimsical, but still somewhat traditional. We love this personalization of our Floweret design – it’s definitely a new favorite!

Joyful Yarrow Letterpress Social Note
This cute little letterpress social note – a customization of our Joyful Yarrow design – is perfect as a thank you note or for everyday correspondence. Printed in navy paired with a punch of bright yarrow ink, it’s fun, a little bit unexpected and definitely doesn’t take itself too seriously. Sure to bring a smile to any recipient’s face, we’re in love with fun and fresh letterpress social note and letterpress thank you card designs.

Festive Buttonpom Letterpress Rehearsal Dinner Invitation
We printed these festive letterpress invitations for the rehearsal dinner of Jo and Jared for their New York City wedding. In our Buttonpom design, they are festively printed in navy and fuchsia inks and are a bit informal, but a whole lot festive – perfect for a rehearsal dinner celebration! We can think of no better way to invite your friends and family to join you for dinner and merriment than with a fun letterpress rehearsal dinner invitation. These are officially a new favorite!

Bella Bride – Letterpress Wedding Invitations
When you’re surrounded by incredible letterpress creations every day, choosing your own letterpress wedding invitations becomes difficult. Really really difficult. There were moments during that time when I joked about wanting to send each of our guests a different invitation, just so I could see all of my different ideas in print. After much debate, with the help of our amazing client coordinator, Tiffany, and our equally amazing graphic designer, Beth Ann, I was was able to settle on our Keswick design in mediterranean and pale gray inks. The entire process was incredibly exciting, but nothing topped the day I finally got to hold them in my hands. They’re absolutely stunning and you can bet we’ll have a set framed to hang in our house after the wedding.

Because we’re having an unusual two-day wedding with a private ceremony on Friday and a larger reception on Saturday, our main invitation was printed for Saturday’s reception. To let Friday guests know they were invited to the ceremony, we included a small ceremony card insert with the details as to the ceremony time and location. Reply cards sent to those guests provided space to reply for both the Friday and Saturday events. All of the pieces were printed in 2-color letterpress, with the exception of the ceremony card, which was a 1-color letterpress card.

Of course, no invitation is complete without beautiful hand calligraphy. Our envelopes were addressed by our amazing calligrapher, Debi Zeinert of The Blooming Quill. She even hand-mixed the ink to perfectly match the mediterranean blue of our invitations and printed envelopes. Not only was I stunned at how amazing the envelopes looked, but our guests are still raving about how exciting it was to get them in the mail. Now that right there, that’s a good way to kick off a wedding celebration if you ask me!
With that said, I’m off to get married – I can’t wait to share photos and more details when I’m back!
