Wedding trend predictions for 2012—what do you think will be big this year?My favorite wedding trends for 2012 include classic elements mixed with modern details—like classic black and white calligraphy invitations with edge painting for a pop of bright color. I love metallics and bold hues for 2012, from classic red to gold and bronze to neon. I think we’ll continue to see more hand lettering in 2012, from whimsical lettering styles to beautiful calligraphy. Brides and grooms will continue to choose elements and designs that best reflect their style and personality, and that includes their wedding invitations!
Share some inspiration—what inspires you?I find inspiration everywhere, from music and movies to walks around my neighborhood, and particularly from flowers and color. In my home, I surround myself with beautiful artwork, including inexpensive screen prints, tapestries brought home from a trip overseas, and vintage pieces from ebay and Etsy—all of which helps keep me inspired during my workday at home. But most of all, I’m inspired by the amazing creativity of the stationery community and the wonderful designs they produce!
