We thought we’d share a fun round up of some of the awesome letterpress directions and accommodations cards we’ve printed in recent months. Some of them include maps and other details and some of them simply refer guests to a website with lots of extra information to make their travel easier. Accommodations cards are especially helpful if you’ve negotiated group rates at local hotels so guests know where to book their room. Check out these ideas for tons of great letterpress inspiration!

A while back we featured Megan and Liam’s beautiful Floweret letterpress wedding invitations and today we’re thrilled to share their gorgeous wedding with you! A visit to Linganore Winecellars early in their planning process inspired their celebration with a picturesque farm setting and rolling hills reminiscent of Megan’s hometown. Their ceremony took place on a hill overlooking the vineyard with expansive country views in all directions. With a great outdoor space for their cocktail hour, they envisioned friends sipping wine and playing croquet and bocce ball throughout the cocktail hour. That focus on friends and loved ones set the tone for their event.

Megan shares, “My mom collected items from antique stores and flea markets for the year we were planning the wedding. She found beautiful framed mirrors and turned them into chalkboards that we used to welcome guests to the wedding and tell them about the menu and the favors (Old Bay!) We found our ceremony arch in Lucketts, VA and painted it an ivory color (after accidentally painting it the wrong color twice!) Some other DIY projects that we completed were a fabric banner, table numbers, and candles.  The candles were made using lace from my mom’s wedding dress. Of course, our Bella Figura letterpress invitations and ceremony programs were also a highlight. We added lots of customization, with more flowers added surrounding the wording and special touches like the navy envelope liners. We tied the ceremony programs with a blue ribbon and they looked great in a yellow basket!“

“We had a tech-savvy friend run our music from an iTunes playlist Liam created. We added a line to our response cards asking for a song request, and we used the requests to put together our playlist. It was so much fun to see everyone’s reaction when ‘their’ song came on. The great thing about custom invitations is that we could add personal touches like that right on the response card.”

“We loved our DIY photobooth. My mom sewed a sunny yellow fabric for the backdrop and we had a digital camera set up along with a photo printer. Guests could take their picture, look at it on the computer, and watch it print all at the same table. We got a scrapbook album and photo corners and added each picture to the album as it printed. Then everyone could sign the guest book right next to the photo they’d just taken. I know everyone had great time taking the pictures, and now we can remember everyone who attended our wedding. We had the most fun and personal wedding, and we lucked out with gorgeous weather. I can’t imagine a better day!”

We love the combination of navy and papaya inks used for these letterpress wedding invitations, our Floweret design. The couple printed two different invitations, both a square shape, and mirrored the designs to create a unique look. They printed a beautiful reply postcard to match their invitations – a great way to save on both postage (a budget-friendly idea) and paper (an eco-friendly idea)!

This darling letterpress baby announcement is based on our Floweret letterpress wedding invitation design. It is printed in papaya and champagne inks for a fresh and cheerful look, the perfect way to welcome a new baby girl to the family.

This cheerful customization of our Floweret letterpress wedding invitation design is one of our favorite customizations of this particular design. It’s printed in champagne and cloud 9 blue inks and paired with a chic navy envelope liner. We also worked with the couple to customize the design to include more of the playful flower motif along the left side of the invitation, a change from the original design. They chose Memoir script for a really fun look that is whimsical, but still somewhat traditional. We love this personalization of our Floweret design – it’s definitely a new favorite!
