 Maura Gauthier, based in Denver, Colorado, believes that the curves and shapes in nature can make the best compositions. It comes as no surprise, then, to find her invitation designs bursting with her dynamic illustrations of the natural world. Her drawings of ascading roses, blooming sunflowers, and spectacular popies add a distinctive energy and warmth to her work.
After receiving training in graphic design at Syracuse University, Maura spent time in the corporate design world, but her creative spirit won out: she now focuses her design talents on invitations and announcements. She finds inspiration for her work in everything, but particularly in old textiles with fantastic patterns, as well as in nature.
