What’s in store for 2013 wedding trends? If you’re planning your wedding in 2013, you’re in luck—it’s a great time to be in love.

We're predicting vintage weddings with elaborate 1920's elegance and Gatsby-like flair will reign in 2013.  If you’re dreaming of a glamorous look, metallic shades of gold, silver and copper will add the perfect touch of sophistication to any invitation. Not sure you want to have foil printed on your invitations? Foil edging is a great way to bring in another color and add a little bit of shimmer – we love seeing a color like fuchsia shine on the edge of a classic black and white invitation for a fun, modern touch.

We'll see metallics in pastel shades make their way into the wedding world in 2013 as well -- minty greens, pretty pinks, silky blues and pale peaches will set a soft yet sophisticated mood. Taupes, tans and grays never go out of style and look especially lovely when paired with metallics and pastels -- think rose gold paired with a neutral like our new desert ink.

Incorporating localized touches (like vintage maps and city skylines) into wedding invitations and day-of details will be a popular 2013 wedding trend. We'll also see a shift in destination weddings -- couples will forgo beachside celebrations in favor of romantic, European locales (like Italy and France) for their wedding weekends. Rustic campground weddings with minimal, natural touches will also be popular in 2013.

For wedding invitation sets in particular, we predict an increase in elaborate suites: unique paper shapes (like die-cuts!), customized pocketfolds, and colorful, personalized envelope liners are just a few ways we'll see couples bring their invitation sets together. We're seeing a turn away from ultra-quirky fonts in favor of more classic Roman fonts, and hand calligraphy will continue to be a popular choice as the ultimate finishing touch on an invitation set.
